The TDE Championship Tour hit Hersheypark Stadium on Saturday, June 2.
With a deep lineup and a number of hits to be performed, even a few rain drops couldn’t keep the crowd down.
As a way to show off and promote all the members of TDE, the show begins with some of the lesser known performers, such as Lance Skiiiwalker and Ab-Soul, who performed a medley of their top tracks.
While some die-hards knew these tracks, the crowd didn’t truly liven up until Jay Rock hit the stage as the third performer.
The rapper released his single “Win” last week, and used it to wake up the crowd at Hershey:
Despite its recent release date, the banger was well known and received by the crowd. It actually ended up being one of my favorite performances of the night.
Next up was Schoolboy Q, who performed a number of hits from his Oxymoron album, including “Man of the Year.”
Due to damage done to her vocal cords after a grueling 11 months of touring, SZA was forced to sit out this portion of the tour, leaving the crowd craving a Kendrick Lamar performance.
After a short break, Lamar took the stage and performed hits from his albums DAMN., To Pimp a Butterfly, and mAAd City.
In a pleasant surprise, Lamar passed on performing anything from the Black Panther album, while still performing all the hits, including “Swimming Pools” and “mAAd City”:
Lamar performed a solid set of tracks, leaving concert goers satisfied.
Overall, this stop on the tour proved to be enjoyable, and anyone who is a fan of Lamar and TDE should get their tickets to another stop on the tour.
