I’m just about 16-years-old, it’s 6:00 a.m. and the alarm for high school rings.
I roll over in bed, turn on the TV, which happens to be on MTV.
Immediately, the I Love College music video plays, marking the first time I’ve heard the song or seen the video.
Of course, as a teenage boy on the verge of attending college himself, I was immediately entranced in the debauchery that I witnessed in the video, making me even more drawn to the song.
While I in no way claim I Love College to be a banger, it does highlight one of Asher Roth’s two notable songs.
Now over 10-years-old, I Love College is reportedly a reference to Roth’s time spent at West Chester University.
The song eventually peaked at number 19 on the Pop 100 and number 12 on the Hot 100.
