#TBT – Money To Blow – Birdman feat. Lil Wayne & Drake

We have another banger for our #ThrowbackThursday series.

It’s hard to believe, but this track turns 10-years-old in 2019. “Money To Blow” was released as the third single off of Birdman’s “Priceless” album on September 16, 2009. However, Drake originally had leaked the song in 2008, according to Wikipedia.

Our Throwback selection peaked at #2 on the Rap Billboard Charts and was #26 in the Billboard Hot 100 in 2009. Yet, it didn’t stop there, as the song went on to chart in 2010 as well, peaking at #12 and #34 in the Rap Billboard and Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop charts respectively.

As the song even states, it features Drake on the hook and each of him, Birdman and Lil Wayne drop hot verses with their own unique flows.

It’s crazy to think what’s happened since then – Young Money is essentially no more, Wayne, Birdman and Drake have no contact. Wayne sued Birdman for cash he allegedly never paid for previous albums, and Birdman retaliated by allegedly paying for a hit on Wayne.

Thankfully, things were more chill in 2009, and the trio could provide us with this banger. Enjoy your Thursday with this throooooowback!
