Ahh, Fall. Fallen leaves, pumpkin spice lattes, and colder weather. But fall also brings a horde of new seasons of all our favorite shows on all of our favorite networks or streaming services. We also get new shows to love…or hate.
Starting off, let’s talk about a new Netflix original: The I-Land. It’s reminiscent of the Lost formula, but it’s own spin. Ten people wake up on a mysterious and dangerous island with no idea who they are or how they got there. They try to find out how to get home, but realize that the island is not as it seems.
The show did absolutely terrible with ratings. Very few people had anything good to say about the show. It really is just a rip-off of Lost, but with an interesting story premise. If you’re wondering whether to spend the time to watch it, I’d say do so, but think about what you could have done better.
America’s favorite anthological horror series is, of course, American Horror Story. AHS: 1984 premiered September 18th as the series ninth season. Five friends take a break from LA to work as counselors at Camp Redwood, the site of a brutal massacre fourteen years prior. If you know the story of Friday the 13th, then you know what’s going down. The series airs Wednesdays, 10pm on FX.
Riverdale returned last night on the CW with its fourth season. Maybe in this season, the gang will do the logical thing and tell the cops what’s going on! Maybe, just maybe, they won’t take matters into their own hands and nearly die…just kidding. We know that’s not going to happen.
I’m starting to think that maybe the entire population should just up and move away from that town.
I’ve been a fan of Supernatural since 2009. I’ve lost interest following season 13, since my favorite character had died the previous season. But out of pure nostalgia and love for my boys, I might just have to binge season 14 and watch the season 15 premiere tonight at 8pm on the CW. Guys, this is the final season of Supernatural. Watch the boys as they work to stop the souls that have been released from hell.
There are tons more shows that start during the fall. Happy Watching!
